This is my passion project. It is a shark drawing. This is my plan. When I do the actual one it will be a lot bigger than this one now. I drew this shark all by myself and shaded it in. I really enjoy doing the passion projects. We go to our groups every day of the week apart from Monday and Tuesday. I cant wait to take it home, show my parents and hang it on my pin board with all my drawings. I am also drawing a background and coloring it blue. We have 5 weeks to complete our passion projects. We are allowed to choose what ever we want. Once it is done I will do another blog about this topic. I am blogging this because I have really enjoyed doing my passion project. I hope you enjoyed this post.

My reading task
I am blogging this because I enjoyed this task and learnt lots more things about space and new things I didn't know about.
This is my reading task. It is about black holes and stars. We had to write down five questions and search them up and answer them with as much detail as possible. It was kind of challenging at parts and others were easy as. It was an interesting task and now I know much more about black holes and stars there self. I wouldn't mind doing another task like this.Lions- No escape
WALT- form questions based on what we have read.
WALT- research our own answers
Task- Write down 5 questions that have popped up for you as you are reading.
Write them here and research the answers. Explain the answer as well as you can.
1)Who first discovered black holes:
In 1916 Albert Einstein predicted black holes with his great general knowledge and theory of relativity.
2)Are black holes flat:
Black holes are really 4 dimensional. You may see drawings of black holes that are 2 dimensional but that is because us humans haven't discovered how to draw a black hole 4 dimensional on an piece of paper yet.
3)What's inside a black hole:
We have never seen what's inside a black hole because it is too dangerous to go near and if someone goes into one and get photos we would not be able to communicate with them.
4)Can anything escape from a black hole:
Nothing that falls into a black hole can come out because of its gravity is so strong it has to travel at 300,000 kilometers and that is the speed of light and even light cannot escape from it.
5)How long do stars live for:
A star with the mass of the sun will live for about 10 billion years. But it depends on their mass. The more massive the star the faster it burns its fuel supply.

Monster measure maths task
Monster measure
This is my maths task. Sorry that the picture is not the clearest but we had to do some measurements on the monster on your right. Then we had to draw our own and write some questions down for a classmate to answer. Brayden answered my questions. I was a little mean and didn't let him use a ruler so he had to estimate. I enjoyed this task. My monster is called the pizza monster. We had to use a scale as well. A scale is when 1cm = 1m or 5cm = 1m.

NCR training day
In the holidays I went to Napier City Rovers training session. We got to train with some of the Rovers players. Oscar, Amos, Rory, Jacob, Camden R and more were there. We also got to be ball boys. It was a cool experience. Here are all the players that I know so far. Ferguson, Josh, Ryan, Bill(coach) and Saul. The goal keeper had to wear a face mask for some reason. I saw Mrs Love and her husband Jono Love at the game. I would really like to do this again. Naiper City Rovers played Palmerston North and won 4-1.
Here is a photo of Josh. He is a police
man and very cool.

My I Proud
My Best Learning
This is my…
Mystery object
In my hand is a small heavy object. It is very sparkly like a diamond. It has sharp pointy bits at the back. You can wear it in your hair like a headband.
There are a few holes in it, with diamonds on the sides. It smells like metal. You can wear it to a ball/dance. Princesses, girls and boys can wear them but boys, trust me don’t. Now can you guess what it is.
I am proud of this because… It was fun making the writing and I enjoyed it. I think it is a good detailed piece of writing. I went to a workshop and learnt how to choose the best vocabulary and I improved it.
My biggest challenge was...Adding detail because It was only a small object. But after a workshop I could improve it.
Leave in the comments what you think it is.

Camp Omatua / Weka
Camp Omatua
Tuesday 1st March
Tomorrow Rimu hub are going to Camp Omatua. For the past few day's we have been working in our multipurpose books. We have made a title page and glued in the time table's and group's for camp. This is my 5th camp at this school. I am a year six and my first camp was when I was a year 2. It was a fun experience at Weka because I had never been there before. Camden Bruce also came to Weka with me but he had been there 10 times because of scout's. At Weka when first arrived there were Bull's. So we had to be careful that we didn't annoy them otherwise they might of charged us. The next day they rounded them up into a paddock so that they wouldn't charge the other people when they came for the river walk. I enjoyed the river walk because it was deep and shallow in some places, but is was a little bit cold. We went from Weka all the way to camp Omatua.
As you can see is a Huntsman Spider in the fire pit from camp.
It is actually holding a egg sack under it.

My favorite book
This is my favorite book task. As you can see it is Dirty Bertie fangs. I am sharing this because I am proud of my self. I was learning to describe the book and put my writing into paragraphs.I enjoy how we were able to choose our favorite book and change the background and everything.
